Q. Will I have to fill out loads of paperwork?

A. No. Your appointed solicitor should be able to do most of the necessary paperwork for you. You will have to check the details of your claim before it is put forward, but your solicitor can help you with this.

Q. Will I have to go to court?

A. The vast majority of cases are settled without any need for court attendance.

Q. How does Claim Now get paid?

A. Claim Now are paid by our panel of solicitors. This service provided by Claim Now costs you nothing. Your solicitor does not pass on this cost you.

Q. Do I have to visit your offices?

A. Claim Now have clients all over the UK who have had a 'no hassle' service. Our experts can handle your claim by phone, post or e-mail, but if necessary we can arrange home visits if required.

Q. Can I make a claim on the Intenet?

A. Yes you can. Just fill in our online claim form and we will do the rest.

Q. Do I need to have visited my GP or the hospital?

A. For your own health and safety, it is always advisable to seek professional medical treatment or advice after suffering an injury. If you have not visited your GP or the hospital it should not stop you from making a claim for the injury you have suffered. It would however, greatly assist your claim if you have a written record of your injury at either your GP or hospital.

Q. Will I have to have an independent medical examination?

A. Nearly all personal injury claims require and independent medical report to determine the extent of your injuries. Our panel of medical consultants are specialists in personal injury. This medical will not cost you anything and will take place at a location no more than 10 minutes from your home address.

Q. How long will it take for my case to be accepted or rejected?

A. This depends on how quickly we can gather the relevant information required to assess the claim. If the information is readily available we can provide an answer on the your claim very quickly. On average we look towards providing you with a decision within 48 hours from making contact with us.

Q. Is there a time limit to make a claim?

A. The statutory limit is 3 years from the date of the accident, and a claim can be submitted at any time during this period. Cases involving children under 18 years old have 3 years from the date of their 18th birthday to make a claim, if they have not already had a claim pursued on their behalf by a parent or guardian.

Q. What are disbursements?

A. Disbursements are the fees your appointed solicitor has to pay to help prepare your case. These include medical fees, court fees, e.t.c. Your solicitor does not pass on this cost you.

Q. What will be expected of me?

A. You will be expected to co-operate with your solicitor and provide information when requested. You should not do anything to delay or prejudice your claim.

Q. Will people think less of me for claiming?

A. All personal injury accident victims are legally entitled to claim compensation. The party to blame is normally has insurance cover so does not pay from their own pocket.

Q. How often will I receive an update on my claim?

A. Claim Now will regularly update you on the progress of your claim and continue to keep you in the loop until the case is resolved.

Q. Do I have a claim?

A. Use our call back facility or our online claim assessment form and we will do the rest. Our panel of solicitors will assess your claim and give you a prompt answer whether the claim is worth pursuing.

Q. Can I receive a courtesy vehicle?

A. Yes we can provide a like for like courtesy vehicle, we have a large fleet of small, medium , large and prestige cars.

Q. Do I have to pay for my courtesy/replacement vehicle?

A. You will not have to pay a penny. The cost of the replacement vehicle will be claimed from the party that is to blame. Also, to prevent you any further hassle and inconvenience, we’ll deliver and collect the replacement car at a time and place which is convenient to you.

Q. How long will I have to wait for my courtesy car to arrive?

A. In most cases we can provide a vehicle to you on the very same day.

Q. Can you recover my car from the roadside?

A. Yes we can recover your car from any roadside in the UK.

Q. My insurance company has passed on my details to their appointed solicitors, what should I do?

A. First of all you have the right to appoint anyone you want to act on your behalf regarding claiming compensation. With your permission we can speak to your insurers and sort this out for you.

Slip, Trip And Fall

Q. There were no witnesses, will I be able to claim?

A. Having an independent witness statement can improve your chances of a successful claim but it is not always needed to win the case.

Q. The paving slab I tripped on wasn't very high, does that matter?

A. It is generally said that a defect has to protrude (stick out - e.g. 1 paving slab higher than the other) or be indented (go inwards e.g. a pot hole) by more than 1 inch for there to be grounds for a compensation claim.

Q. I have recently been diagnosed with a medical condition but I left the company that was responsible 5 years ago, can I still make a claim?

A. Yes you can, You have 3 years from the time you were diagnosed to make a claim.
